13 November 2019 – Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid has departed on an official trip to Morocco.
In a tweet he posted today, he has stated that he hopes that this trip strengthens the ties between both countries.
While the minister has been making frequent trips to various countries since the administration came on to power, the government has justified these trips as a means of obtaining foreign aid and strengthening the bond between other countries and Maldives.
Minister of Finance and Treasury has also commended the trips of the Foreign Minister stating that the country is receiving a lot of foreign aid since the Minister’s trips have commenced.
