The family of Medical student and Vouge cover girl, Raudha Athif who died in Bangladesh have revealed their refusal to accept the investigation report prepared by the Presidential on Deaths and Disappearances (DDCOM).
While the report has been presented to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, it determines the cause of Raudha’s death as suicide.
In a statement issued by Raudha’s father, he stressed that the report should have been based on crime scene and forensic evidence, and not on imagination. He also stays strong to the belief that his daughter did not die by suicide. He also urged President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to reveal the perpetrators and make them face justice.
Raudha, who was a medical student at Islamic Bank Medical College, Rajshahi in Bangladesh was found dead in her dorm room in 2017. While suspicions were initially directed at a classmate of Raudha, Rajshahi police later declared that it was in fact suicide.
