Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced a prohibition of departure on all vessels docks in areas of Male’.
This comes following Male’ being placed under lockdown, after an individual tested positive for Covid-19 in Male’. The patient tested positive for the coronavirus after consulting at the flu clinic in Male’ Hiyaa area, with symptoms similar to that of Covid-19.
Since then the area has been cordoned off by official and authorities are working on contact tracing to determine everyone who has been in contact with the person. Furthermore, the residents of the patient has also been placed under quarantine.
With this, the total number of positive cases in the country has gone upto 21, with 16 recovered so far.
