A Sri Lankan doctor working in the Maldives has been assaulted in Male’ today.
Police revealed that the assault took place in STO super market and that the incident was reported around 13:25.
The doctor is said to have sustained injuries near his left eye, and a 49 year old has been arrested in relation to the assault.
Police are further investigating the matter
