Male’, Maldives – Two Covid-19 patients have been put on ventilator, informed the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC).
Speaking at the NEOC press conference held last night, Dr. Ibrahim Afzal revealed that out of the three Covid-19 patients at Tree Top Hospital, one has been placed on ventilator. The other patient put on ventilator was a patient admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Hospital, where there are a total of 8 Covid-19 patients.
The nationalities of the patients were revealed to be Maldivian and Filipino.
Dr. Afzal further revealed that there are no patients being treated at the DH11 facility of Dharumavantha Hospital, which has been designated or Covid-19 patients.
So far, 2187 people have been infected with Covid-19 in the Maldives, out of which 1788 have recovered. There have been 8 Covid-19 related deaths in the Maldives up to date.
