200 Maldivians to be repatriated from Sri Lanka

Male’, Maldives – Foreign ministry has announced that a special flight would be operated to Sri Lanka to repatriate 200 Maldivians.

Ministry has informed that they have secured 200 seats for people who want to come back to Maldives from Sri Lanka. Those who want to fly back need to get in touch with the Maldivian High Commission in Lanka to make the necessary arrangements.

The tickets cost need to be borne by the passengers themselves while they need to quarantine themselves after returning back to the country.

Foreign ministry has previously organised repatriation flights to Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Nepal and Bangladesh to bring back Maldivians who got stuck during the pandemic.
