Male’, Maldives – The President of Maldives has removed Ali Waheed from his position as Minister of Tourism of the country today.
This comes after President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih ordered Ali Waheed to resign from the cabinet last night, after several employees of the ministry came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against him.
However, Ali Waheed did not tendered his resignation, despite sending out a tweet saying, “Truth will always prevail.”

Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Ibrahim Hoodh has confirmed that Ali Waheed has been removed from the Cabinet as a Minister.
