Yellow alert issued for most of Maldives

Malé, Maldives — Due to anticipated bad weather, the Maldivian Meteorological Services (Met Office) has issued a yellow alert for most of the atolls in Maldives.

The areas especially 
from H.A. Atoll to L. Atoll is warned by the office for they might be experiencing stronger winds with thunderstorms.

Seas surrounding the nation are expected to be rough. The seas surrounding the reigions that were alerted by the Met Office are especially expected to be even severe.

The alert was issued at 12:00pm and is set to expire on 16:00 pm.

The wind speeds are expected to be approximately at 25-30 miles per hour and continuing to rise to 50-55 miles per hour during gusts.

As the weather is expected to continue like this for the upcoming two to three days, the Met Office warned travelers to remain cautious of the weather.
