New Delhi, India – The number of Covid-19 cases in India has surpassed two million.
According to the Health Ministry of India, during the past 24 hours, a total of 62،538 Covid-19 cases were identified in the country, a record number of cases with in a day. Further, 886 people are also reported to have died of the virus in the country.
With this, the number of positive cases has exceeded two million, with more than 41,000 dead.
The first case of Covid-19 was recorded in India on 30th of January. The country recorded a million cases of the coronavirus during the 17th of July. However, the numbers increased like wild fire and have exceeded a million within the span of several weeks, marking the highest number of cases recorded in the country during one month.
Globally, India currently in third position as the country with the highest number of Covid-19 cases, behind Brazil and America.
