Male’, Maldives – Ministry of Health has announced that Aishath Samiya has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
The position became vacant on February of this year, following Khadheeja AbdulSamad Abdullah being removed from the position by the Civil Service Commission.
According to the Commission, she was removed from the position due a matter that was investigated, however, none of which details were given.
Prior to being appointed as the PS of the Ministry of Health, Samiya was working as the Deputy Director General of the same ministry. Permanent Secretaries are tasked with overlooking all civil service employees in a Ministry.
