New York, United States — The president of the United States visits his brother in a hospital of New York City.
When Trump visited his brother in New York, he said that his younger brother is currently having a “tough time.”
Trump stayed for about 45 minutes in the New York-Presbyterian Hospital and had entered the hospital while wearing face mask on Friday afternoon.
The US media reports that Trump’s younger brother, Robert Trump, 72, is seriously ill. However, no further information was given as to why he was admitted to the facility.
“I hope he’s okay,” the president told reporters en route to the hospital. “He has a tough time. He’s having a tough time.”
After the visit to his brother, Trump flew to his golf club in nearby Bedminster, New Jersey, for the weekend.
He also told reporters: “I have a wonderful brother. We’ve had a great relationship for a long time.”From day one. Long time. And he’s in the hospital right now. Hopefully, he’ll be all right, but he’s having a hard time.”
Robert used to manage the property empire’s real-estate investments of Trump.
The New York Post read that Robert spent over a week in the intensive-care unit of Manhattan’s Mount Sinai Hospital in June.
“Yes, he’s been hospitalized,” White House spokesman Judd Deere said earlier in the day, confirming the hospital visit without specifying Robert’s condition.
Robert was recently seen going to the court in a failed bid to stop publication of his niece Mary Trump’s tell-all book about the president, How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man.
