BTS song ‘Dynamite’ makes YouTube record

Seoul, South Korea — The South Korean band, BTS makes a YouTube record of most viewed in 24 hours for their latest release, ‘Dynamite.’

The song has become the best-ever 24-hour debut of a music video on YouTube with over 100 million views.

The highly anticipated visuals for the record of the world’s biggest K-pop group was released on Friday and the fans were crazy about it.

The song “Dynamite” had racked up a total of 101.1 million views by the end of the day, becoming the most-viewed music video premiere on YouTube.

This means that BTS has dethroned fellow K-pop band Blackpink who held the previous record for their song “How You Like That.” Their music single had 86.3 million views within 24 hours of its release in June.

The famous band BTS consists of Kim Tae-hyung (better known as V), Jung Ho-seok (J-Hope), Kim Nam-joon (RM), Kim Seok-jin (Jin), Park Ji-min, Jeon Jung-kook, and Min Yoon-gi (Suga).

“Dynamite” is reportedly the BTS’s first single sung completely in English. This song had amassed more than 178 million YouTube views as of Monday. The almost four minute video is light with colorful and bright scenes featuring the seven members with retro concept props, hairstyles and attire.

“The song aims to bring a new surge of much-needed ‘energy’ to reinvigorate the global community in the midst of Covid-19,” a press release stated.
