Malé, Maldives — Under the established air bubble agreement in August 2020, IndiGo airline has begun two weekly operations between India and Maldives.
The airline states that IndiGo will be operating two weekly flights via the route Kochi-Male-Kochi on every Thursday and Sunday. They also mentioned that the flights will begin from September 03 onwards.
IndiGo will be starting from Kochi, where the flight will be connecting with several domestic destinations between India to Malé. The airline assures that appropriate health and safety measures will be followed, for a safe and hassle-free flying experience for their customers.
“We are pleased to resume connections between India and Maldives, starting with two weekly flights between Male and Kochi under Air Bubble,” The Chief Commercial Officer of IndiGo, William Boulter stated.
He continued to say that “India is one of the key markets for inbound tourism for the Maldives, while it receives a huge share of its medical tourists from the Maldives. These flights will promote trade tourism and mobility, giving a boost to economic recovery in both countries.”
