Malé, Maldives — A dinghy vessel that was carrying five passengers has been capsized on Monday afternoon.
According to Police, the recieved reports of a dinghy vessel capsizing near an uninhabited island in Raa atoll around 1600 hrs on Monday. Although Police stated about the reports, Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said they had not recieved any such reports.
The reports recieved from the Police reveal that the vessel capsized near an uninhabited island named Maashigiri, which is nearby to Raa Maduvvary. It is unknown whether anyone on the vessel was hurt in the incident.
Maldives has been recently experiencing unfavourable weather conditions. Authorities have urged everyone to practice caution.
