Addu city, Maldives- Addu Equitorial Hospital (AEH) has successfully performed it’s first neurosurgery with the help of ADK.
ADK announced on social media that this surgery was carried out by the neurosurgery team of ADK and the OT department of AEH on a 62 year old local man.
They further added that AEH first contacted their medical team sometime yesterday evening regarding a head injury of the patient. It was considered unsafe for the patient to be flown to Male’ and hence ADK’s neurosurgery team came to Addu with medical equipment last night.
This team includes Dr.Ali Niyaf, Shamoona Ali and Dr.Adheel Shareef.
The operation was carried out last night at 11:45 and the patient is currently being treated at ADK.
