Malé, Maldives — An independent party has filed a list of 27 allegations at the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) against the Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Limited, Ahmed Saeedh.
Among the complaints, accusations of corruption was included. They were mainly regarding the oil purchases of Fenaka, a matter that had caught the attention of several people as well.
According to an official of ACC, the commission is currently evaluating the submission before they decide to launch an investigation into the allegations.
Fenaka was described as a “nest of corruption” during the presidency of former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. During the time, there were several accusations of foul play during the incumbent administration.
Managing Director Saeedh had reportedly spoken out against corruption since his appointment, has not responded regarding the accusations yet.
