MIFCO decreases price of diesel sold to fishermen

Male’, Maldives – Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has decreased the price at which diesel is sold to fishermen.

MIFCO revealed on Tuesday that prices of diesel being sold at fish purchasing centers and vessels have now been decreased from MVR 8.66 to MVR 7.33 per liter.

In addition to this, MIFCO also revealed that the price of diesel for the general public has also been changed, and would now be sold at MVR 13.00 per liter.

While no further details were released from the company with regards to the change in prices, the new prices of diesel are expected to help the burden on the fishing industry, caused to the economic impacts the country has to face due to Covid-19.
