Male’, Maldives – Maldives Meteorological Center (MET) has issued a white alert warning for the most part of Maldives, forecasting bad weather.
MET issued the warning for atolls between Meemu atoll which is in mid Maldives and Addu City which is at the very south of the island nation. The notice warned of heavy rain with thundering as well as strong winds and rough seas until 21:30 of Friday night.
Wind speed is expected to be strong, going as high as 30 miles per hour from South and South West of the Southern atolls, while the direction would be from West and North West.
Seas are also expected to be rough, due to which, those traveling by sea are urged to take all necessary safety precautions while traveling out in the seas.
