Liverpool, England – Senegalese footballer Sadio Mané, who plays for Premier League football club, Liverpool, tests positive for Covid-19.
Liverpool said that Mané is currently in isolation and that he is doing well. They further said that Mané will not be playing in tomorrow’s match against Aston Villa of the Premier League.
Mané was also seen missing in action in the recent match against Arsonal in the EFL Cup. With Liverpool losing the match with a score of 5-4 after the penalty, they were eliminated from the competition.
In addition to Mané, the Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcântara who recently joined Liverpool also tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Till now, Liverpool has played three matches in the league. They have won all three matches.
