L. Gan, Maldives – A CT scan machine has been installed at the Regional Hospital of Laamu Gan – an atoll within the South Central region of the country.
The Hospital revealed today that all the main work to being providing CT scan services has been completed at the hospital, including that of installation and the initial testing. It was highlighted that such a big task was completed in such a short time with the dedicated efforts of the hospital staff. MP of Gan constituency, Mohamed Wisam was also thanked for his service to develop the island, as well as all other contributors.
The CT services being provided at L. Gan Regional Hospital is a presidential pledge of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
While the service has been made available in the island, many advances have been made in the health care system of the country, including the development of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital in Addu City – the very Southern part of the country – to a tertiary level hospital, as well as the work being done to transform Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital – at the very North of Maldives – to a tertiary level hospital as well.
