Male’, Maldives – Vice President of the Maldives, Faisal Naseem has held a meeting to the relevant authorities on improving waste management in the capital city of Male’.
The meeting was held today at the presidents office where the Vice President met with Minister of Environment, Dr. Hussain Rasheed and other senior officials of the ministry, Minister at the President’s Office Ahmed Naseem (Kerafa Naseem), Male’ city council members and officials from Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO).
Speaking at this meeting, Vice President Naseem highlighted the importance to make waste collection by WAMCO more efficient and the importance of giving legal power so that the services provided to the public goes on continuously without any hindrance. He also highlighted the works done by WAMCO at the moment to keep the capital clean.
In addition to this the Vice President was updated on the current work done to manage waste more effectively and the works done and changes being brought to improve waste collection in Male’ city.
