Sh. Foakaidhoo – Maldives Police Service (MPS) has revealed that an expat was injured during a violent fight in Sh. Foakaidhoo.
According to the police spokesperson, this fight started from a heated argument between two expatriates. One of them attacked the other one with an edged weapon. The police told that the attacker was arrested. The expat arrested is of age 43.
The expat was taken to the court where he was ordered to be remanded for 15 days. The case is being further investigated.
In recent times, fights and stabbings have started slowly increasing again, after the country observed several years of calmness, with very few cases of such violence, with the new administration.
