Tennis Association elections to be held on November 7th

Male’, Maldives – Tennis Association of Maldives has said that their annual elections are to be held on November 7th.

The opportunity to apply to compete in the fourth election of the association in now open till the 22nd of this month. The association has now started the preparations in order to have the elections on November 7th. This includes requesting for approval from Health Protection Agency (HPA) as well.

Under the 19th section of the Memorandum of Association , a President, Vice President and three members from the general members of the association will be elected in the elections. Furthermore, voting rights are given to those members registered at the association till the day the elections were announced.

The famous businessman Ahmed Nazeer was the President of the tennis association for the last two years. His main focus of development for the association was infrastructure. He also built an international level tennis court at his own cost in addition to hosting a national level competition with international tennis players.

It is expected that Nazeer will be competing in this year’s elections as well. Nazeer’s team includes Vice President Mohamed Ameen and members of running committee including Hassan Sham, Ahmed Sham, Ibrahim Rasheed and Ibrahim Hussain in addition to treasurer Mahmood Rameez.
