Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has extended their deadline to apply for a ticket to run in the upcoming local council elections.
The deadline was previously set for the 7th of January, 2020. However, the deadline has now been extended until the 13th of this month.
The party revealed that should a primary be required, it would be held on the 24th of this month and that all members registered to the party by the 17th of this month would be eligible to vote in the primary elections.
The date set for the local council elections by the Elections Commission of Maldives is 4th April, 2020.
