Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives — The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) announced that they have completed 70% of the overall road development project of Hanimaadhoo in Haa Dhaalu Atoll of Maldives.
On Saturday, MTCC tweeted regarding the road development project currently ongoing in Hdh. Hanimaadhoo. They informed that the Managing Director and CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim and the Minister of State for NPHI Akram Kamaludheen visited the site of Hanimadhoo personally to inspect the progress of the road project.

When the road development project is completed, it is expected for the roads to consist of a carriageway measuring 38,916 square metres, sidewalks measuring 16,518 square meters and a storm-water management system. The development project also includes of establishing service lines with cable junctions, road lighting, signboards and road markings along 19,679 square metres.
The project was legally handed to MTCC on May 22, 2019, however, the construction work started on June 15 of 2019. While the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure spent a total of MVR 46.7 Million on this project, a time period of 240 days was given to complete roads.
