Malé, Maldives — On the occasion of the Turkish Republic Day, the Foreign Minister of Maldives, Abdullah Shahid sends warm greetings to the Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
On his message, Shahid sends warm greetings to Minister Çavuşoğlu on the occasion of the Turkish Republic Day. Shahid continued to say that he hopes for the close bond between the two countries to grow stronger continuously.

Turkey has always been a valuable friend to Maldives. In fact, Minister Shahid recently had a brief telephone conversation with Minister Çavuşoğlu as well. During the call, Minister Shahid requested the support of the Turkish government during the tough times of Covid-19, to which, the Minister Çavuşoğlu firmly supported the Government of Maldives efforts and the measures that are used to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.
