Male’, Maldives – The famous Bollywood actress and model, Kajal Aggarwal, with her newly wedded husband, Gautam Kitchlu are in Maldives to celebrate their honeymoon.
Kajal Aggarwal recently took onto social Instagram to reveal that she was having a great time at the beaches of The Muraka – Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort in Maldives.
The Muraka resort is widely known as the first ever undersea residence in the world. The resort consists of villas that are beneath the ocean. These villas have private underwater aquarium which surround the master room as a 180 degree curved acrylic dome.
Mrs. Kitchlu revealed on Instagram that she is currently staying at an underwater villa with her husband to celebrate their honeymoon. According to the resort, the minimum price to stay in an underwater villa is $15,000 per night and the maximum price is $50,000.
“Tranquility in paradise,” she captioned one post, which shows her sitting on the edge of her room, with her feet dangling just above the water.
Another post showed her performing a yoga asana. She captioned it, “In a desperate attempt to resume routine.” A third post, which showed Gautam standing next to her as she lounged on a chair, was captioned, “Partner in everything.”
“My heart feels so happy and free, everytime I visit this beautiful country,” she wrote alongside another post, which showed her smiling for the camera, with stark blue water in the background.
Since Maldives reopened its international borders on July 15, the country has received over 51,000 tourists up to date. While Maldives has always been famous around the neighboring country India, the country has recently been visited by several celebrities including, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Neha Dhupia.
At present, there are a total of six direct flights from India to the Velana International Airport of Maldives. They are:
- From Thiruvananthapuram on Air India – 1 weekly flight (Wednesdays)
- From Kochi on IndiGo – 3 weekly flights (Thursdays and Sundays)
- From Mumbai on IndiGo – 4 weekly flights (Thursdays and Sundays)
- From Mumbai on GoAir – 3 weekly flights (Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturday and Sundays)
- From Delhi on GoAir – 3 weekly flights (Wednesdays and Sundays)
- From Bangalore on GoAir – 2 weekly flights (Wednesdays, Thursday, Saturday and Sundays)
Although the island nation does not require tourist to go through quarantine or testing on arrival, all the tourists are required to complete an online health declaration form given by the country and to also provide a negative PCR test result along with it. The PCR test must be taken at least 96 hours prior to departure.
