Male’, Maldives – Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) has revealed that the country has recorded the 46th Covid-19 related death in the country this morning.
Th Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) tweeted that the deceased was a 77-year-old Maldivian male and that the individual passed away while receiving care for the virus at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility.
With this the death toll of the Maldives goes up to 46, accounting for 39 Maldivian nationals, 6 Bangladeshi nationals and a Filipino national, who passed away due to the novel coronavirus.
While a total of 12,578 people have test positive for Covid-19 in Maldives, 11,559 people have completely recovered up to date. Currently there are only 967 active Covid-19 cases in Maldives.
