Malé, Maldives – Bank of Maldives (BML) donates additional 65 motorized wheelchairs to support people with mobility impairments in order to help make a difference in their lives.

On November 24, BML tweeted announcing the donation of an additional 65 motorized wheelchairs to the people with mobility impairments across the nation.

BML tweeted to announce that despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, they are continuing to support the people with mobility impairments across Maldives the same way as they have been doing for the past three years.

“We are very pleased to be able to make a difference to people’s lives with these special motorized wheelchairs”, stated the Managing Director and CEO of BML, Tim Sawyer.

According to BML, they have been successfully delivering motorized wheelchairs to those who in need since 2017. BML noted that till date, they have donated over 100 motorized wheelchairs to those are in need in Maldives.

“Our target is to reach as many individuals as possible to provide them with greater freedom as they go about their everyday lives.”

Managing Director and CEO of BML, Tim Sawyer disclosed.

BML launched the motorized wheelchair donation program in 2017 to help those who require such assistance, across the country. BML said that their aim is to provide motorized wheelchairs to each and every individual in the country who has mobility impairment after determining whether they can operate the equipment by themselves.
