BML donates resources to SEN classes in 10 schools

Malé, Maldives – Bank of Maldives (BML) has donated resources for students of Special Education Needs (SEN) classes in 10 schools of Maldives.

BML made the donation on the occasion of International Day of Education noting the importance of inclusive and quality education to provide lifelong opportunities for all. BML said the resources donated by the bank will aid students of SEN classes to build a better learning environment through interactive play-and-learn.

BML made the donations to;

  • H. A. Atoll Education Center
  • H. Dh. Atoll Education Center
  • Lh. Atoll Education Center
  • K. Atoll Madrasa
  • A. A. Mathiveri School
  • A. A. Fenfushi School
  • Dh. Atoll Education Center
  • L. Atoll Education Center
  • Mohamed Jamaluddin School
  • S. Atoll Madrasa

BML also added that these resources will help the students to interact better with others and help their social skills as well. BML states that their donations to the schools will reach over 400 students. They have also donated resources to these students in the past year as well.

BML states that supporting people with disabilities is a key area of focus under its CSR strategy. The bank also made donations to SEN classes in 10 schools last year, and donated motorized wheelchairs to 65 special needs persons across Maldives.
