Male’, Maldives – The Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid today, met with some Non Resident Ambassadors accredited to the Maldives.
The meeting was held virtually and the High Commissioner of Canada, Ambassadors of Norway, Switzerland and Turkey, and Deputy High Commissioners from Australia and New Zealand, took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Minister thanked all the countries for their support extended to the Maldives during the Covid19 situation and during the after stages in restructuring the economy as well as throughout the Maldives’ development journey.
The foreign minister and the envoys also discussed the prevailing circumstances pertaining to COVID-19. Deliberations further touched on opportunities to enhance bilateral and multilateral relationships between the countries.
The meeting was an initiative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to cultivate closer relationships and interaction between the Ministry and the Representatives accredited to the Maldives
