Government aims to ease connectivity with foreign countries: Minister Nahula

Male’, Maldives – Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Aishath Nahula stated the incumbent government aims to provide better connections with the outer world and Maldives to help bring ease to the citizens of the country.

While speaking at the ceremony held in celebration of MV Bonthi 2 arriving to Thinadhoo, Minister Nahula stated that one of the most important thing that lets a country develop like a country is having its economy rise at a constant rate and for it to be enough for the whole country.

Minister Nahula stated that along with this, the country can only keep the economy constant by increasing the economic activities and by spreading it widely. Nahula noted that this will only be possible when the the required transportation facilities are available in the country at a fast rate.

Minister Nahula informed that the incumbent government aims to strengthen the transportation methods in the country and to provide quick transportation between the neighboring countries and Maldives at an affordable prize for the citizens.

As the speed of the trip and the connectivity raises, the products will get cheaper.

Minister Nahula stated.

Minister Nahula further noted that the incumbent government has made several efforts to widen the transportation industry of Maldives. As a result, cargo shipments has already started between Tuticorin in India and Addu City, Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi and now in Thinadhoo as well. She noted that this is a huge achievement for the transportation industry of the country.
