Maafushi, Kaafu Atoll – An 81 year old senior citizen who was reported missing after going out fishing alone has been found by Maldives National Defence Force MA Coast guard.
MNDF said on twitter that their Fast Interceptor Craft (FIC) “Velaana” found the man on his boat drifting with the current at around 18:26 south of Adhaaran Club Ranaahli Resort.

This is more than 12 hours after he departed for his fishing trip at 5:30 early morning, and around 4 hours after MNDF received a report that the man was missing.
MNDF, on Twitter said that the man, Ahmed Adam Manik is well, and that they are now currently transporting him and his vessel to Maafushi island.
