Two Covid-19 patients admitted at Fuvahmulah Hospital

Fuvahmulah City, Maldives – Fuvahmulah Hospital has confirmed that two patients in the high risk category have been admitted at the Covid-19 facilities developed in Fuvahmulah Hospital on 29th January after they both tested positive for Covid-19.

According to the hospital, the two patients admitted are locals, a 70 year old man and a 61 year old woman and were admitted at the Covid-19 facility at around 11:30 on Friday night. The two people tested positive for the virus after they were tested upon completing that mandatory quarantine period of 10 days.

The patients at Fuvahmulah Hospital are being treated by the doctors and nurses of the hospital along with the Clinical Medical Advisory Team (CMAT) active in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

15,614 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Maldives till now. While 14,064 people have recovered from the disease, 51 have passed away due to the virus as well. Health officials continue to urge the public to adhere to protective guidelines to prevent further spreading of the virus.
