Yazeed appointed CEO of Utility Authority

Malé, Maldives – The Civil Service Commission of Maldives (CSC) has appointed Yazeed Ahmed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Utility Regulatory Authority.

Yazeed was appointed to the position of the authority, which is tasked with regulating the services of electricity, water and sewerage in the Maldives, on Sunday. Prior to this, Yazeed filled the position of Director at the same authority, as well as other government positions during the past 17 years, including the role of Director at the Environmental Protection Agency (HPA).

Following Yazeed’s appointment, who has a Masters degree in environment, water and sewerage through civil engineering, Minister of Environment Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan met with him, and requested him to strengthen the work done in the field.
