Thinadhoo, Maldives – Two more cases of Covid-19 have been identified from Thinadhoo, in connection to the Aviation Cluster currently spreading in Addu City and Thinadhoo, totaling the number of cases in the island to four.
Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital released information regarding the two new cases, stating that these cases were direct contacts of an individual who tested positive for Covid-19 in relation to the Aviation cluster.
They were identified in the island after Addu City reported two cases of Covid-19 among participants of an Aviation Security Command training, which subsequently resulted in more participants testing positive for the virus.
Since then, the total number of cases in relation to the cluster has risen to 26, as contacts reach a near 300. Both Thinadhoo and Addu City are under monitoring due to the developing situation in the areas.
