Addu City, Maldives – Addu City Council has revealed that it has been decided to impose a curfew in the city, as an attempt to reduce the movement with in the city.
According to the Mayor of the City, Abdullah Sodiq (Sobe), the decision has been made with consideration to the fact that there may be a possible community spread in the city, and that during the curfew, of which the duration will be announced today, visiting houses will be banned.
Apart from this, dine-ins and operations of roadside food stalls, as well as hair saloons has also been suspended, with only delivery allowed for restaurants and cafés. However, he revealed that shops will be open as per the Health Protection Agency (HPA) guidelines during this time.
