Covid-19: 4 people being treated at Addu City covid facility

Addu City, Maldives – Local media sources have reported that four people who have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus are being treated in the Covid facility in Addu City.

According to local media outlet “adduLIVE”, a 79 year old person from Feydhoo island, 62 year old from Hithadhoo, another local and foreigner are being treated in the facility.

The Hithadhoo Aviation cluster now has 29 positive cases while Addu City has a total of 54 cases. Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) had revealed that of the 336 direct contacts in Addu city, 100 are individuals in the high risk category.

172 buildings have been quarantined and positive Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in all populated island districts of Addu city except Maradhoo. The highest number of positive cases recorded are in Hulhudhoo Meedhoo at 25.
