Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has congratulated Dr Aminath Zaha Zuhair who secured first place at the MBBS programme at Kotelawala Defence University in Sri Lanka.
In a tweet posted by President Solih, a short while ago stated that her extraordinary performance was a source of pride for the entire country and President Solih wished her for a bright future.
Dr. Aminath Zaha Zuhair, S. Hithadhoo, Heylhi, has achieved first place from three areas of the MBBS medical programme of Kotelawala Defence University.
This is the first time a Maldivian student has achieved the highest marks from the Kotelawala Defence University as well as any other Srilankan University. In addition, this is the first time that a foreign student has achieved the top results from the university.
The medal of achievement was presented to Dr. Zaha Zuhair by the President of Srilanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa making the achievement all the more special as this is also the first time such an honour has been bestowed upon a Maldivian student by the Srilankan President.
