Malé, Maldives – A flight of Lot Airline, the Flag Carrier of Poland on Friday, has landed at Velana International Airport with 294 passengers directly connecting Malé with passengers from Warsaw.

The commencement of these flights open new gateways for guests arriving to the Maldives from Central Europe with direct flights connecting the two destinations since the Maldivian border reopening in July 2020

The Maldives is irresistible to Polish celebrities already, and if demand remains high as estimated, LOT Polish Airlines will continue chartered flights through 2022.

LOT, the flag career of Poland and one of the oldest airlines in operations in the world. Connecting Maldives with Poland, it has announced four more chartered flights to operate by the end of March. In collaboration with Sun Ocean Maldives, the airline has planned to transport over 1000 travelers to the sunny side of life.

A record high, 159,126 tourists have visited the Maldives as of February 20 this year. The Maldives targets an ambitious annual arrival of 1.5 million by the end of the year. With new direct connections being setup, hope remains high in wishes coming true in the safe haven of the world’s Leading Destination, Maldives. There are also 28 other international airlines currently operating to Maldives.
