Covid-19: Total 38 recovered from Addu

Addu City, Maldives – Addu Emergency Operations Center (AEOC) has reported that a total of 38 people have recovered from Covid-19 in Addu until today.

According to AEOC, until 18:00 today, no additional positive cases were recorded but 9 recoveries were recorded. With the additional 9 recoveries, total active cases have also dropped to 38 in Addu City. However, 7 new cases were recorded yesterday in Addu city, brining the total number of cases to 76.

HEOC also revealed that there are a total of 399 direct contacts from these 76 positive cases and that 122 buildings have been placed under quarantine. From the positive cases, one person is being treated at the Covid Facility of Addu.

Addu City still remains under monitoring status, barring any unauthorized travel to and from the city, along with the implementation of a curfew which lasts from 20:00 to 04:00 everyday.
