Addu City, Maldives – Addu Equitorial Hospital (AEH) has decided to resume OPD specialist consultations tomorrow, after it was previously suspended due to Covid-19.
AEH said that they are resuming OPD specialist consultations as Health Protection Agency (HPA) has removed some of the protective measures placed on islands of Addu City except Hulhumeedhoo.
The hospital advises all patients consulting doctors to strictly follow the HPA guidelines such as wearing a mask and maintaining physical distance. They also requested the public to refrain from more than one person accompanying a patient to the hospital.
While some of the protective measures have been removed from the adjoining islands of Addu City, Hulhumeedhoo is still under strict measures as two random samples from the island tested positive for Covid-19. Since then, 10 people have tested positive from Hulhumeedhoo. Curfew is still being implemented in the island although it has been removed from Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Maradhoofeydhoo and Feydhoo.
