Addu City, Maldives — The Addu City Council has met with the residents of Hithadhoo flats this afternoon to discuss their concerns.

The City Council informed that during the meeting, multiple residents shared their concerns and informed that they have had difficulties in parking due to the ongoing landscaping project of the flat in Hithadhoo island.

In addition to this, the council informed that the residents shared concerns over maintenance issues in the buildings such as leakages from ceilings and damaged water pumps.

The Council informed that they have also discussed about holding meetings about providing clean drinking water to the residents of flats, where they discussed installing water tanks for rainwater collection in the flat area of Hithadhoo.

The Mayor of Addu City, Abdullah Sodiq reassured the residents of the flats that issues they have addressed will be escalated to the Ministry of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure of Maldives as soon as possible. He also reaffirmed that the Council will make all the necessary efforts in attempting to solve the problems that are faced by the residents living in the flats.
