Hulhumalé, Maldives – A fire incident has occurred at a storage facility in Hulhumalé, leaving the property stored at the location damaged.
The incident took place at around 2:43 last night. The Media Official of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Captain Ahmed Azim said that the fire was controlled at 3:36 last night and that no people were injured in the situation.
Captain Ahmed Azim also added that engines and corresponding parts were stored in the warehouse.
MNDF tweets that the incident happened in a godown near White Beach Holiday Café and with the help of MNDF Fire and Rescue Service, the fire was controlled.

While a fire incident took place at the storage facility in Hulhumalé last night, another incident took place in a home in Malé with an exploding cooking gas canister in leaving one injured. This incident happened around 17:38 in Malé city.
