Malé, Maldives – Maldives State Shipping (MSS), which currently operates cargo ferry services between Tuticorin of India and Addu City, has announced that horses to be used for recreational purposes in Addu City have been put aboard the MSS ship.

The announcement of the horses arrival was first made by the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed back in August of 2020, where he revealed that an individual had obtained necessary documentation and certifications to bring the animals to Addu.

While five horses were announced to be brought to the city at the time, it has not been revealed when the shipment is expected to arrive.
