Addu City, Maldives – The horses which set sail to Addu a couple of days back have arrived in Addu City this Saturday.
The horses, which were brought via the Maldives State Shipping (MSS) are the first horses to arrive in Addu and are brought by the company Southern Stallions.
Amidst social media outrage regarding the horses being brought to the Maldives where the lack of veterinary care and other necessary elements for horse keeping are much talked about, the Southern Stallions have reassured the public that the horses will be well taken care of, and that a vet as well as other requirements have been taken care of.
The announcement of the horses arrival was first made by the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed back in August of 2020, where he revealed that an individual had obtained necessary documentation and certifications to bring the animals to Addu.
