Th. Veymandoo, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has revealed that an expatriate has passed away as a result of a stabbing incident which took place on a fishing vessel, during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The individual, whose nationality is yet to be revealed, passed away at 11:59 on Sunday morning, while receiving care at the Th. Veymandoo Hospital, according to Police.
Since the stabbing, which was reported around 03:50, a 42 year old Bangladeshi national has been arrested in connection to the case, which is currently under investigation.
No further details have been revealed by Maldives Police Service with regards to the case as of yet.
