Addu City, Maldives – The woman found seriously injured on the Addu Link road this morning has passed away.
S. Hithadhoo, Sunreef, Fathimath Asma was found unconscious on the roadside this morning with several injuries. According to Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH), she had suffered serious injuries to her head and had internal bleeding when she was brought to the hospital. She also had broken ribs and her left shoulder was also broken.
While the exact details of the accident are unclear, local news Addulive had earlier reported that the crash occurred while she was on the way home after dropping off her son at Addu High School in Hithadhoo district.
Asma was taken to Addu Equatorial Hospital and treated in the ICU. The had hospital confirmed her death a short while ago.
