Malé, Maldives – Maldivian Table Tennis champion, Fathimath Dheema Ali has been ranked world number 8th in under 15 girls single category.
Rankings released by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), Dheema was listed 8th in under 15 girls singles category and ranked 41st in Under 17 girls single category.
Dheema had ranked world 8th in under 15 Girls Singles category with 1,028 points while the only other South Asian to be on the list was India’s Suhana Saini who had secured 7th place with 1,032 points.
In July 2019, at the age of 11, Dheema won three gold medals for the country in the Table Tennis category at Indian Ocean Island Games.. She won gold medal in the women’s team event, doubles event as well as the singles.
