Addu City, Maldives – An individual who consulted Hithadhoo Flu Clinic has tested positive for Covid-19.
According to the information received by ‘The Times of Addu’, the 25 year old individual was not following quarantine regulations.
This case comes while Addu City has been placed under monitoring on May 1 following a 28 year old individual being found to be positive after consulting the Hithadhoo flu clinic in Addu Equatorial Hospital and had several contacts including high risk category people.
In addition to this, several individuals from Meedhoo island of the city had tested positive after a cluster from a boat traveling between Addu City and Malé City was identified on April 29, 2021.
As per the announcement, all travel to and from the city has been banned until further notice. Any essential travel, must also be authorized in writing by the Social Support Desk (SSD) of Addu.
